Wolf Sirens 3 What Rises Must Fall by Tina Smith

Uncover what happens after dark… In the rainy valley the sky is covered by cloud as the thunder God wars with his son, Apollo.  As dusk descends the wolves haunt the forrest. A crescent moon rises and all days are nights for the huntress, until the ancient battle is won. What lurks beneath the surface In the heartlands of myth and reality is a tale as insidious and devious as the wolves themselves. The sun has not yet set forever on a love that has defied time in the valley cursed for centuries. Lila has nothing to lose, except for the one thing that means everything. The unwilling beguine with a chip on her shoulders treads between two worlds on a path of inescapable fate that the Goddess has chosen for her. Lila must follow a dark path towards a war lost in a vicious clash. Who will be left standing after a fray?  The hunters legacy must be fullfilled in a vivid tale of heartbreak and betrayal as what rises must fall and those that have fallen must find strength to rise again. No one will emerge unscathed.

                                                                     My Review

In this book you find the heroin, Lila learning to deal with her feelings and maturing into her destiny.  I found my self on edge and anticipating the events because I was expecting the battle. It had a much more significant plot because of the events coming which is very important to the outcome of the series. Its pack full of action which is intriguing indeed.

Once again Tina is gifted in know how to bring on the cliffhangers. You just don’t know what to expect til it hits you!  You find yourself rushing the next book to find out what happens next. It totally throws you off guard yet again. We just have to wait and see!

Interview with Maggie Shayne

Interview with Maggie Shayne

1.  When did you first start writing?

The day I learned to spell my first word. Seriously, I was Scotch taping construction paper stories together, complete with Crayola illustrations.

2.  What inspired you to write?

I think you’re either born a storyteller or you’re not. You can learn the craft of it, but the heart of the storyteller is is something that’s in your DNA.

3.  Who are some of your biggest influences?
John Boy Walton and Stephen King.

4.  Is there a special place you go and a certain mind frame you like to be in before you write?

Not at all. When you write for a living, you don’t get to wait for any particular frame of mind. You get up and go to work, like everyone else. My work is my desk.

5.  What’s the most exciting thing that happened to you during your writing career?

Every time I release a new book, that’s the most exciting thing. I’m so excited about TWILIGHT GUARDIANS, my first completely independently published novel, that I can barely sleep at night.

6.  How do you come up with all the characters and different exciting plots?

This is something I wish I knew. They don’t come from me, they come through me. Like they’re channeled or something. They’re just…there.

7.  What authors have inspired you through your writing and how did they inspire you?

Lori Herter was my first inspiration. She had the very first vampire romance series, the first book releasing about a year before I sold my first vamp romance. I had the second vampire romance series. Wings in the Night. Hers were Obsession, Possession, Confession, and Eternity.

8.  Do you have advice for any writer who’s struggling right now?

Do not rush out there and self-publish the first thing you write. Gosh, we were so much luckier back in the day when publishers would reject our work until and unless it was good enough for publication. Now, when they get rejected, instead of trying to improve and get good enough for publication, authors face the temptation of self publishing their work as is. Self pubbing is easier now than ever before. It’s sad, when you see things out there that are just embarrassing to those who wrote them. Learn the craft, hire a professional editor, work your tail off, then publish. There are no shortcuts.

9.  What’s the silliest thing that you have ever experienced in your writing career?

A fan coming up to me at a book signing and wafting glitter all over me. It was fairy dust, she said. I had done a fairy story, so….  I sparkled all day! (And loved it.)

10.  Could you share something extra that you would like your viewers to know about you are your writing?

The Texas Brand series is back. We’re repackaging and re-releasing every book in the series. Book 1, The Littlest Cowboy is FREE, and books 2-9 are 2.99 – 3.99 each. Less than when they were originally released!

And, TWILIGHT GUARDIANS is on sale September 1st. It’s the very first book of the NEW Wings in the Night: Reborn series. Whether you read the original Wings in the Night series or not, you may begin here.

What I thought about the book.

I read this series a long time ago and left reviews but, I felt it deserved an official review.  This book is truly

amazing and an original.  This book is such a mystery through out the entire book that it leaves you with

question but, wanting so much more.  Addison is so talented that she golfed to the pages from her heart to your

soul but, it overflows to your heart.  Her writing style is is creative and unique that allows your mind to open up

to a new world.

This book is one hell of a roller coaster ride. Paragon is nothing like it seems so, stay focused and watch out

because its a roller coaster ride!  This roller coaster ride allows you to experience every emotion imaginable that

has unusual twist around every corner.  So if you are looking for an adventure, try these books you want be

disappointed. One other huge talent Addison has is a slam dunk cliffhanger!  Watch out you’ll never expect this

Wolf Sirens # 2 Fever Review

                                                              Wolf Sirens # 2. Fever

Wolf Sirens #2: Fever: Many are Born, Few are Reborn:

Eternally Cursed to Love & Not Purely Desire… Temperatures rise as the

flames of longing still burn in the thrilling sequel to Wolf Sirens

Forbidden. The legend continues. Apollo, god of deadly plague,

conspires to undo his sister’s legacy. The wolves exist between two

worlds, one in the town another in the forest. Prophecy says hunters

and wolves are cursed to a mutual attraction. Increasingly, each

successive slayer becomes more alluring to the wolf. The predestined

enemies struggle, to both resist and contain their fierce rivalry in a

conflict powerful enough to tear two worlds apart. A shadow has fallen

over the heartlands of myth and reality. The chosen is reborn broken-

hearted, in the scorching embers of grief. Devastated, Lila trains

tirelessly as the assassin. She must submit to deliver justice and protect

the innocent of Shade. But is it love or revenge which motivates her?

Will the huntress or her heart prevail? Breaking away from the call of

destiny and fearing betrayal, Lila makes a desperate escape in search of

her lost beloved. The intensity between two ancient enemies ignites.

The history of the wolf pack is revealed as devotion and desire in the

underworld reaches fever pitch.

If The Bite Doesn’t Get You, Then the Fever Will.

“Rich, complex, and deeply fascinating. Smith’s creation stands apart

from other books in the genre. Wolf Sirens has raised the bar for

paranormal romance.”- Kevis Hendrickson, author of Rogue Hunter

“Smith weaves a thrilling and beautifully crafted tale that sinks its fangs

in and refuses to let go.”- Michael Alexander, author of The Vessel

“Fever does not disappoint! Tina Smith captures her readers on the first page and leads them on a fast-paced journey full of suspense and adventure as heroine, Lila, struggles towards the truth.” – Beverley Eikli, author of A Little Deception”.

                                                                     My Review

I have received this book as a review request. Fever is a paranormal book by Tina

Smith and is the seguel to Forbidden.  In Fever, it explains about the background

history of the characters in much detail. You really begin to see the person within.

The book flowed with ease at first but, was a little aggrevated by the drawn out story

line.  I realized though towards the end the neccessity of the details and began to see

the characters from a different perspective.  While I liked the flow of the first book

better, I was able to see the much growth maturity of the main character that I think

is showing its readers that a kickass herion is being born. The overall story has

deffinately left me in suspense!  Will she finally get her happiness?  I guess we will

just have to read the following books to find out!

Fever is most definately an emotional roller coaster as well as the characters in the

book.  So far what I’ve experienced in Tina’s books is you don’t know what to expect!

She is truely tallented at cliffhangers that’s for sure.
