Seventeen-year-old Sarette has always thought of her life as average, even a bit boring. She does well in school, has a loving mother and a loyal best friend, Mathew. Of course, she has her problems as well—cold Michigan winters, a long-lost father she knows nothing about, and the lack of a boyfriend. She also has the vague sensation that she is being watched by some unseen entity, but figures that means she’s average and crazy.

Nothing could be further from the truth . . .

Daearen isn’t much different than the human world. Imagine a world where science is replaced with magic.

Review

Well written, vividly graphic, heart grasping, intoxicating and inviting…It’s prodigious, fun, yet forbidden and the diversity keeps you on your toes! A must read! – Nook Books and More Blog

This world puts you on such an emotional roller coaster and bleeds into your heart. Be prepared to experience all emotions. You will not want to put this book down.

This series puts an amazing twist on such a diversity in the paranormal world. This journey has brought characters together that needed each other in so many more ways than even you would expect. There were promises made and broken, love fulfilled and betrayed. We see our heroine embarks on a journey that is totally different then her life now. She soon learns her life is nothing of what she has known and embarks on an abyss of a journey.

But wait the story doesn’t stop there! It seems, no matter which direction the these characters seem to turn, someone or something is trying to come between them. Though sometimes they put it on themselves, the journey is epic as it continues to play out! The twist and turns are phenomenal. I couldn’t put it down!

Questions are answered, and there are sweet tender moments that have you smiling and thinking, “It’s about time!” It’s still dark and fantastic journey of the characters we haven’t been introduced to yet. Some of the character we thought could be trusted have turned leaving devastation in their wake.

Emmy Gatrell’s MEANMNA stands out. The story of Sarette, a seemingly average teen who is really a princess. She learns of her true heritage and then is plummeted into a new world that she never knew existed. She is about to fulfill an ancient destiny, and sucks you into to that world resonating in your heart. The characters have appeal and they are fun, lovable and believable characters, so much so you feel you are their with them.

Overall, the story has lots of twists and turns with plenty of nice surprises. It has well written sexual tension that both maintained integrity for the story but was also age appropriate. The flow of the book bleeds nicely off the page making it easier to follow the journey and not get lost in the book or bored. There’s also a significant amount of action, making it a very compelling read! Great job Ms. Gatrell!

Review of Demon Touched by Gena D. Lutz

Demon Touched
Paranormal Hunter Book 3
Gena D Lutz

Blood runs thicker than water…or so they say.

Staking paranormal bad guys is Sonnet’s regular gig, and she’s good at it. But when she’s banished to demon-hell with her estranged twin brother in tow, the last thing on her mind is vampire hunting.

Finding her way out of hell is her first priority, staying alive a close second.

Pitted against unknown creatures, and faced with a father who abandoned her at birth, Sonnet will need all the power and weapons at her disposal to find the one thing that will guarantee her safe passage home: unhatched dragon eggs, straight from the realm of dragons.

Review

Once again in Gena D Lutz books. I’m pulled in by her lure of action and twist. I could not wait to start this book because Sonnet Vale was one of my favorites so far.

Demon Touched lures you in, intrigues you, turns your world upside down. Just when you think you have it figured out it changes on you. I was so happy to see a deeper glimpse within this paranormal city but, also especially into the demonic world of her family. It’s forbidding, dangerous, yet desirable and luscious. It gets darker and wilder so prepare for a ride!

Sonnet shows you a lot more of her bad ass self but draws you into her net of people she realizes she’s connected too. There are secrets she doesn’t even know yet. She came there not by her own free will but was sucked into hell by accident. What can she do? Will she be able to get out? You’ll have to read to find out but, it will not disappoint!

The writer flows with her words effortlessly off the pages and is so in depth with characters that you are pulled in and on edge the entire time! Who can you trust? Who do you hate? Who do you love? What is trust in hell? She finds things of her life, her other family that she never knew existed. Take a ride in to the deeper much darker world!

This book pulls you in and leaves you on the edge of the seat then at the end what’s you with one hell of a cliffhanger making you scramble to grab the next book. It’s words flow effortlessly off the page as does any if Gena’s books. They’ll keep you up for hours soaking in every word like a sponge. Be prepared for a huge book hangover. You’ll want to start into the next book right away because this cliffhanger leaves you biting your nails. Way to go Gena! That was one hell of a ride!

Review of RED: The Untold Story by AM Hudson

Best Selling Author

AM Hudson
Red
The Untold Story

A powerful new YA novel by award-winning dark romance author AM Hudson.

Do not go gentle into the wolf’s asylum…

Once every twenty years, pack alpha Luther takes a new wife. On the day of Selection, Red is chosen. Just as her family always planned. Just as she always planned. Until she met Alex Plain.

Alex took Red to worlds she never imagined, where the ordinary is seen as magical, and the upright is abstract. With the help of this new friendship, Red begins to see a future for herself outside of the pack. But, unfortunately, Alex Plain came along too late.

Red is obligated to marry Luther now, and taken to live in the mysterious Ravenswood Mansion, where truth lies and the walls have eyes. What Red learns there about her alpha will ignite some burning questions—ones that, when answered, could undo the entire order of the pack:

What happened to all the children born there? Why hasn’t this mansion left the seventeenth century? And where are all his previous wives?

Review

It’s Prodigious, Shocking, Stunning, Unbelievably fascinating and enduring yet evil has a presence about it! Epic writing style! – Nook Books and More Blog

Red that pulls you in. The characters have a way of pulling you in. They are all unique in a way that gives it a different appeal then the average paranormal read. That’s why I love AM Hudson’s work. There’s a sense of freshness, an appeal that you never read elsewhere and a beauty of rawness that is beyond impeccable.

It’s a story of a much different concept of the Wolf and it has a wonder and shows you how ones imagination saves their own sanity. The characters evolve into their own and have such total different freshness about them. You have every paranormal being to man I think in this book. It seems to give care with each character as it evolves. Alex’s character shows you that appeal that you seem to feel a sense of respect for him as all he endures but yet seems to only see the beauty in things. His character shows you the true soul. It’s hard to capture that in words. The author does a phenomenal job at not only showing you his soul but making you feel and experience the beauty of it. A rawness that makes you feel things will be ok. I instantly fell in love with his character.

Red’s character changes so much at first, but its necessary for her to evolve. She plunges deeply into her destiny and makes waves and changes were know one dare. She grows so much from knowing Alex and from emerging herself into the new world of the unknown. She teaches everyone around her ways to become who they are destined to be while she’s plunging into her own destiny. You’ll instantly love her character through out the story because the compassion she shows and teaches is beyond words.

I really enjoyed watching their family dynamics and how they nurtured each other and grow. AM Hudson’s uses this story to discuss a topic that the entire world faces daily. Hate and prejudice. She touches the ugliness and rawness of it and the main character exploits it with new and exciting possibilities to make waves to change it. It really gives you hope that maybe one person really does make a difference in this world or the paranormal world. It also touches on deep depression and grief which has always been a tough one for me. This book has left an impact in my heart and I plan to read it several times. It makes you see the realness in this world and you are not alone but without harping on the woe is me feeling that one might get during that time. I guess I just loved the realness and rawness of how it is. Books sometimes paint a pretty picture of things and life and its not always a bed of roses. Lol The writer hits the most hardest topics in the world today though and doesn’t explain it away just uses it as a tool to explain that its ok.

Not everything is magical though and she soon realizes it once she reaches Luther and Ravenswood Mansion. She sees the true lies and darkness within these walls and embarks in her own journey to see deeper into his soul only to find much much more. She reaches so many more then you thought she ever would. She shows you how strong a women can be. Sometimes strength comes within and you don’t need a sword always to kick ass, but a great heart and strong will to see things through.

Love is such a powerful emotion that exist and that explains this through out this story. There are many twist and turns in the story. Perhaps the most I’ve ever seen in a series. Each relationship pulls you in because it’s hot yet forbidding and dangerous with some. It’s a phenomenal read that will blow you away!

The authors words flow effortlessly off the page and it’s easy to follow. You stay focused throughout the book not getting lost like some authors in their adventure scenes. I loved the different characters and they draw you into their world making you feel as though you are really their. Thanks AM Hudson for one hell of a ride!
